Q: How does this work?
A: We do all the shopping, chopping, dicing, slicing and other necessary preparation. You select 6, 8, or 12 entrées from our monthly menu or 14 entrees and register for a self-assembly session, pick up service or delivery.
If you select a self-assembly you may arrive anytime during the designated timeframe. Upon your arrival you will find that we’ve done all of the ingredient preparation allowing to spend just an hour or two with us to assemble up to a month’s worth of meals.
If you chose pick up or delivery, then you leave all the work to us. Please arrive at Entrée Kitchen during your selected pick up window or look forward to seeing us at the designated time for delivery.
Q: May I order just sides or desserts?
A: Absolutely! Many of our customers use our wide variety of sides and desserts to round out their meals or as a delicious short-cut when entertaining. Impress your guests with items like our rustic twice baked potatoes, asparagus with smoked provolone and bacon, or on the sweet side, one of our made to order creamy cheesecakes, Nanaimo dessert bars, or specialty pies. Q: Do I need to freeze my meals?
A: Yes, all of our entrees are specifically created so that you can freeze them to enjoy them throughout the month. In fact, we recommend keeping only one or two items out of freezer as a maximum so that these may be enjoyed within a day or two of bringing them home. The rest of your entrees should be frozen and then thawed for approximately 24 hours prior to cooking them.
Q: Must I thaw my entrees prior to cooking?
A: Our entrees are specifically created to be frozen and thawed for 24 hours prior to cooking. We do not recommend that entrees be used directly from the freezer to ensure product quality.
Q: What if 6 portions are too many for my household?
A: You may select the ”split” option your entrees giving you two 3-serving portions instead at no additional cost!
Q: May I split my order with a friend?
A: Most definitely, when placing your order select the split option and then fill in your friend’s name. You can choose to take his/her order with you when you take yours or your friend can pick up his/her order separately. The choice is yours.
Q: What does an Entrée Kitchen membership include?
A: Choosing a membership plan ensures that you receive the best pricing with Entrée Kitchen, savings up to 11% on entrees and 20% on sides, desserts and retail purchases. In addition, we include 4 pick-up upgrades with your membership and a free side and dessert sampler just for activating your membership.
Q: What is the cost of your membership plans?
A: Membership is completely free. We do, however, ask our customers to make a monthly financial commitment to pay their membership (entrée package) fees on the first of each month. In the case of a monthly membership, you lock in your on-going savings by allowing Entrée Kitchen to make a recurring charge to your credit card. For a 9-month membership (nine purchases within one year), we simply prorate the annual program cost into a monthly charge to your credit card. This method simplifies your life even further by putting payments on auto-pilot!
Q: What if I have allergy concerns and/or would prefer to leave out a certain ingredient?
A: All of the nutritional information and recipe ingredients can be found on our website. Please check under the menus tab where you’ll find the information for each recipe directly below each recipe.
Q: I’m following a special diet plan. Do you provide the nutritional information for your recipes?
A: Absolutely, we want our customers to feel completely confident in their menu selections. You will find our nutritional information and ingredient lists under the menu tab below each individual recipe.
Q: I’m a busy person, will this really save me time?
A: Definitely! You can prepare up to a month’s worth of meals in about two hours or less and once you have our meals at home, because all of the assembly has been done at Entrée Kitchen, dinner can be on the table in about 30-40 minutes in most cases.
Q: Can I bring a friend, spouse or child with me to my meal assembly session?
A: Yes, the more the merrier! We ask only that when children accompany adults they be of an age to participate in the process with their parents.
Q: Is it possible to pick up dinner on my way home from work?
A: It might be possible to have a meal prepared to order on short notice. Please give us a call to see what the options might be. On days when we are holding a session, if you provide us with a couple of hours of notice we would love the chance to help you put dinner on the table.
Q: May I purchase individual entrees?
A: Although purchasing our entrees in a package format is a lesser expensive way to purchase, you may certainly buy individual meals for $22.00 each.
Q: Do you offer bread and/or dinner rolls to compliment the meals.
A: Yes we have a few options for you with quick freezer to oven bread and dinner rolls that are ready in about 10 minutes.
Q: Will you deliver to my home or office?
A: Yes, we deliver throughout the Western Suburbs. Please check our delivery area. If you don’t find your location listed there, please give us a call. It is possible to have delivery pretty much anywhere in the Chicagoland area for an additional service fee.
Q: Would you set up a delivery to my company?
A: Yes, we presently offer a corporate delivery program to multiple companies throughout the Western Suburbs. If your Company is interested in offering this no-cost benefit to their employees, please let us know.
Q: How do I bring my meals home?
A: We are always looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly so we encourage our customers to bring their own laundry basket or cooler to transport their purchases home, however, should that not be possible, we do have brown paper bags that we use for packaging as well, not to worry!
Q: What are your portion sizes?
A: We have built our recipes upon portions sizes that support good health and nutrition. For example, our poultry and meat recipes are based on a 4 oz. portion of the called for protein. We feel this is important to support you in your desires to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
